Hello, I have moved here from LJ, much better!! In case you are new here, my name is Charlotte, my friends names are Alexa and Kierra. We all run this blog together, along with 5 others. What we do is go around around blog land and basically "review" bloggers. We did the extensively on LJ and had tons of great results :) For the next few weeks, we will be focusing on Food and health blogs. We will review 1 that we do not like, and one that we totally recommend. We do this no holds barred, we are just like that. Feel free to insult us right back though :)
First up is http://www.snack-face.com/. This is a so called health/food blog run by the super annoying Kailey. She is a twenty something girl , who acts like she is in her teens. Her personality is beyond annoying. We have reviewed her blog in the past and seems a lot of people feel the same way. She uses words that aren't really words to describe things, like "sizzurp", "breasticles", "zupa", and so on. She is one of those bloggers who feels the need to always post pics of themselves on their blogs, begging for compliments. No one cares what the hell you are wearing ! Why would they? Kailey kinda looks like a man, she seems like an annoying, whiny diva type. She actually has a boyfriend...which amazes me. This guy must have a suit of armor on to put up with her. He also must be legally blind.
Now for our awesome blog of the day...http://eatliverun.com/. Meet Jenna, from Eat, Live, Run. She is one of the sweetest blogers around. She keeps it real. No posing in clothes, no using silly fake words. She writes very well, her posts are always entertaining. She's gorgeous and is a great cook!! Please check out her blog :)

ReplyDeleteI am really intrigued by the premise of this site -- a review of other blogs -- but I sense an element of partiality here. It seems like you have a personal vendetta against today's "shitty" blogger, no?
I'm trying to figure this out, because I like the idea of a ballsy blog that says the unexpected. Is snark kind of the intentional attitude? Some humor intended here, in making fun of blog personalities?

ReplyDeleteI agree, but with Rose Runner, not you. You don't seem to be dissecting Kailey's blog, rather ripping her, personally, to shreds. I do think you have the right to your own opinion and your blog would be boring if it were praise after praise... but please attack the blog, not the person behind it. Your rude comments about her personal looks (gorgeous) and the fact that she has a boyfriend are just an absolute disgrace. Last time I checked, someone's facial features have nothing to do with what they write on a blog or what comes from their heart.

um really? This blog is obnoxious. Does putting people down actually make you feel better? Does it actually make you feel like a better person? Because if anyone looks stupid right now it's you.
ReplyDeleteI can only assume based on the caliber of this writing that the authors are, in fact, teenagers? This reeks of 9th-grade slam books, lacking any real thoughtful or witty critique. Good concept, shitty execution.

Oh and finally, if you're going to hate on Kailey, at least pick something that you can sell to equally bitter readers. That woman in no way looks like a man--girl has her looks, don't hate.
This wasn't a blog review or "dissection", this was merely a harsh personal attack on a beautiful, down to earth, sweetheart of a girl. I mean damn, the way you're trashing Kailey makes it sound like she stole your boyfriend or something. Perhaps you should channel that negativity elsewhere and focus on your own (shitty) writing because you sound like nothing more than a jealous 8th grader. Not only are you a disgusting mess, but you are a bona-fide HATER.

B) Some people enjoy seeing what other people wear and where they get it. And it's not "begging for compliments," it's sharing.
C) The comment "who acts like she is in her teens" fits YOU better than it does Kaylie. Ripping apart a blogger for no reason other than the fact you don't like him/her is childish. Leave high school in the past, please.
